After years of crafting pillows as gifts, I finally opened my own etsy shop! Business has been fantastic, without a single lull in orders since I opened.
I also rediscovered my love of cosplay and crafted a Poison Ivy costume just in time for Anime Expo and Comic-con:

I also got to cross something off my bucket list: Dress as Slave Leia at Comic-con. I didn't however, get the cross out the "be in the Slave Leia group photo" part. Boo. The group photo was a bit of a clusterfuck this year, but hopefully it'll be better next year and I'll get to cross out the rest of that line. Remember, kids: Dreams do come true.

I met SO many fantastic people at Comic-con this year, including:
Paul Scheer

J. Scott Campbell

Dustin Nguyen
Batman!

And tons more - lots of interviews will be posted soon. I can't say thank you enough to Geekscape.net and deviantART for giving me the chance to interview some incredible people. From joking around with comic greats to having Ken Marino try to swap clothes with me (he wanted to wear my Leia costume to the Children's Hospital panel), I had one hell of a weekend.
As if that wasn't enough, I got to hang out with my cable television darling (and all-around hottie), Mr. Kevin Pereira all weekend! We had a blast upstairs at the Nerd HQ party Friday night:

Everything started all smiles and we even went for the age-old "prom" pose.

Things quickly turned dark, though, as is normal when we spend more than 30 seconds together.

It's my fault, really. I'm not a very good listener.
Overall, I had the weekend of my life and can't wait to go back next year. I'm already brainstorming costume ideas.
